Getting Here
Find us on Victoria Terrace, a short stroll from The Hub (see this Google map). We are accessible from the Lawnmarket roundabout via Upper Bow (down a short, steep, cobbled street) and from George IV Bridge along Victoria Terrace (level access). You can also take the Victoria Steps up from Victoria Street. Look out for our banners.
Lothian Buses numbers 23, 27, 41, 42 stop on George IV Bridge - opposite the National Library of Scotland (southbound) / Edinburgh Central Library (northbound).
Parking: There is no parking for the venue.
Car parks: the nearest is the NCP one at Castle Terrace, a 10 minute walk from the Meeting House.
Taxis: drop off at the George IV Bridge/ Victoria Street junction (level access) or at the top of Upper Bow (short steep cobbled street leading down to Victoria Terrace.
Access: There is level access to the Quaker Meeting House along Victoria Terrace from George IV Bridge. There is ramped access to the Venue and lift access to the Theatre and Meeting Room. There is space in the Theatre for 1 wheelchair and space for 2 wheelchairs in the Meeting Room. It is helpful if those wishing to attend performances who need to remain in their wheelchairs in the Theatre can notify us when booking tickets. There is an accessible lavatory on the ground floor.
Hearing Loop: There is a hearing loop system: please contact the venue in advance if you wish to use it.
Audio description /captioning /BSL interpretation /relaxed performances: Information about each company’s provision will be found on the Fringe website and in the venue programme if applicable.
Personal assistants: Free tickets are provided for personal assistants: please contact the venue Box Office to arrange these.
People who prefer to transfer from their wheelchair to a seat: please inform the Box Office in advance, and a member of the Front of House staff will assist you to your seat.
Other Requirements: If you need specific sightlines, or to sit in a particular area of the auditorium for any reason, please contact Box Office staff who will be pleased to help you.
Access to the Box Office, lift and accessible toilets for disabled customers will be via the venue’s front door and through the café area.
